Get a life
Watching what passes for everyday life here in the United States of Hysteria leads me to think that some people have (1) too much time; (2) too much money; (3) not enough responsibility or (4) all of the above.
Dead already
The person who has no ambition and no passion is marking time until death, and is for all practical purposes dead already.
Ignorance
It amazes me that some people think a tax refund is free money from the government.
Movies
Life is not a cowboy movie. Sometimes there are no good guys. There are only bad guys and they are fighting each other.
If I were free
If I were free to live my life as I would like to, I would have two part-time jobs–a desk job like the one I have now and a manual labor job, preferably outdoors at least part of the time. It would be a healthier way to live than the way I live now.
Opportunity
One man’s misfortune is another man’s opportunity. The question is whether the other man will see it as an opportunity to exploit or to be a blessing.
Winning
It’s good to want to win the game of life, but winning does not mean beating the other guy.
Education
What a person knows is more important than:
- how he learned it;
- where he learned it;
- how old he was when he learned it;
- how long it took him to learn it
except in a land of paper credentials.
